Destruction

Darkness is deceiving
Closing in, suffocating.
Wind stung deep,
Sharp pain flows.
Indescribable, unbearable,
The taste of the silent night.
Feelings of loneliness,
Settle like fallen leaves around.
Sadness,
A heartless demon.
Spares no fool,
No, he takes us all.
The stone bleeds,
Fresh red blood.
Knives stabbed and poked.
The stone, cracked and dent.
Strong, it's suppose to be,
Yet soft and weak it is.
Broken pieces engulf in black fire,
Blue flame ashed them all.
How would you piece back
A broken and ashed stone?
How would you mend
A battered and torn heart?
Daylight stood helpless,
Summer wind soothed.
But nothing helps,
for broken pieces don't mend.
